Before founding Alan Schlaifer Insurance Services (ASIS), I spent years in the post‑production world as an assistant video editor (PYTKA), sound designer (Schtung Music), and music editor, collaborating with composers like Michael Giacchino. My work connected me with top ad agencies including BBDO, McCann Erickson, and Chiat/Day, and brought me onto feature films such as The Family Stone, Mission: Impossible III, and Ratatouille.

I grew up around film sets—my mother was a studio teacher, and I worked everything from extra and body double to P.A. and director’s assistant. I’ve seen the production process from script to screen, and I understand the pressure, the pace, and the stakes.

Transitioning into insurance through the John Hart Agency was a natural evolution. I knew exactly what creators needed because I had been in their shoes. Production insurance wasn’t just a business decision; it was the perfect fit.
